Jerry David and his wife Susan have been married for 48 years and have raised two children, now with children of their own. Having been in ministry most of his adult life, and founding and pastoring a church in Lincoln Nebraska 32 years ago, he now finds himself strengthening and encouraging other leaders and influencers, educators, and most importantly - parents, in the USA as well as many other nations.
Living, as we all do, in an ever-shifting culture and evolving paradigm, the stresses and challenges facing parents, educators, and leaders is now reaching a point of critical mass. Family units coming apart, long-time values and principles being undermined at every level, along with a decreasing lack of confidence in our ability to address these changes, makes the message of Dr. Jerry David even more relevant and needed in this hour. His vast pastoral experience along with his own upbringing and parenting helps him to be uniquely qualified to approach families and educators with a simple but effective commonsense approach to basic principles that must be re-visited and re-established in our families if we’re to see the home, the family and the nation survive.

You will enjoy his humor, his stories, and his inspiration. You will leave with a new and renewed vision to establish a legacy and heritage for yourself that ultimately brings fulfillment to each life and home. More than anything, he will use commonsense to return you to commonsense in your approach to parenting and leading the next generation.

How Not To Lose Your Legacy in Ten Easy Steps
Can I actually raise children in this ever-shifting culture that won’t be indoctrinated by every wind that comes along?
Can I really believe for a heritage and legacy through my efforts that will bring to me a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment?

Does parenting have to be this difficult and sophisticated? Must I acquire a certain knowledge or education to become an effective parent?

BECOMING THE PERFECT PARENT - NOT!
How To Plant Trees and Carve Pillars. Someone once said as parents, our ultimate purpose isn't simply to give our children food and shelter for the first twenty years of life. Our purpose is to one day present to God, the church and the world mature young adults who are good servants, good stewards, and good citizens. With that long view to parenting we will not only be successful, but more importantly, we will be legacy builders.
This talk will set the tone and tenor of good parenting principles going forward and will help the attendee catch the vision and run with it.
WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND
Giving the Gift of Honor. "What goes around comes around" was one of the first phrases I can remember my father teaching us three boys. It actually had the effect of establishing an atmosphere of honor in our home - in our words, looks, and actions. In order for culture to eventually change, there will have to come a change in our homes and families. The majority of us aren't given the opportunity to change the world, our city, or even our neighborhood, but we can change our homes.
The Gift of Honor is the first foundation for confronting this "dishonoring" culture we live in and this talk will inspire and motivate you to start right where you live and with those you can influence - your children.
OTHERS MAY; YOU CANNOT
The Importance of Values Louis-Joseph Lebret, the great Dominican philosopher said "Civilization ceases when we no longer respect and no longer put into their correct places the fundamental values, such as work, family, country; such as the individual, honor, and religion." In other words, values shape not only you or your home but also how a nation lives and prospers. Core values are everything. It sets in place the foundations as to how we choose to live, particularly in this ever-shifting culture of ours.
This talk will not only help us set boundaries and hedges around our homes but inventory our current core values or lack thereof, so that with confidence we can declare - others may; you cannot.
